The Future of Optical Interconnects for AI Infrastructure

As AI infrastructure expands rapidly to support the development of large language models like ChatGPT, networking solutions must scale in both capacity and speed. The rise in lane rates and I/O bandwidth is driving faster R&D cycles, with the industry now focusing on 200G/lane development and exploring 400G/lane for future needs.

In this webinar, industry experts will explore how the shift to 100G and 200G baud signaling rates poses new challenges for optical interconnect technologies, particularly using Intensity Modulation with Direct Detection (IM-DD). Although IM-DD remains the most cost-effective option for data center networking, maintaining and extending optical link reaches at these high rates is becoming increasingly difficult.

Our speakers will discuss key advancements in fiber technology and standardization that could support the next generation of optical interconnects. They will provide valuable insights into how new fiber specifications could help maintain the efficiency and performance of optical links as industry moves towards 200Gbps/lane with multimode fiber (MMF) and single-mode fiber (SMF), and 400Gbps with SMF.

Join us to understand the evolving landscape of optical interconnect and the fiber innovations that will power the AI-driven future.
